Make your own anti collapse cyclone dust collection box. After may collapsed plastic barrels, delaminated plywood butt joints and general messing about I have designed a square tabbed box that will not collapse and has built in ventilation in the event of a blockage. This will reduce extractor over heating and premature failure in the even of a blockage. This will work in conjunction with all cheap small cyclone attachments and any high pressure extractor or workshop vacuum. I estimate, I get 5x higher life span on extractor bags as the large chips and swarf will fill this collection box but fine dust particles will still enter the extractor bag. 79.64 litres of additional capacity of storage space means less down time changing small bags. I have added the Yeti Tool Logo as this is a Smartbench made product with intended use in conjunction with your Smartbench. I have left plenty of design space on the top, sides, front and rear to make this box your own. I do also request they you also keep my Purco Interiors Logo please. Mixed woods
Parts will fit toghter better and reduce delamination on the edges if you router a small chamfer on the parts before assembly.
I have used screws only to hold the box together but glue could also be used but is not essential.
I have screwed castor wheels to the underside of my box for easy teansportation when the box needs moving to empty.
The inlet hole on the lid will most likely need adjusting to suite the cyclone attachment you purchase.
6mm solid carbide straight flute cutter (compression or down cut could also be used) 3.175mm (1/8th inch) end mill for vcarve clearance. 60 degree vee cutter for vcarve finish pass.
